Mobile Sales Project

Overview

The mobile sales force solution developed for Peninsula Beverages encompasses the mobile application, the middleware layer and back-end integration into SAP. This solution includes the development of an modern front end application on nemobile technology and the integration to SAP for both connected and offline application functioning. The solution covers all order take functions for in field order, inventory and asset related tasks. Under normal operations all orders and loads will seamlessly be created on SAP when the mobile user synchronizes, but allows for the orders to be created and priced based on SAP pricing while not connected to SAP. Dataflo partnered with Sybase to deliver this solution. Full DR and monitoring of the Orders once they had reached the customised middleware was incorporated into the development and integration of this solution

Goals

Allow the in-field sales staff to interact completely using a mobile application, thereby not requiring the sales staff to be in office to complete the sales cycle, while maintaining the integrity of the SAP back end system. This includes the ability to view customer related messages, calendar interactions for confirming delivery dates and route selection or alternative delivery day. By customer additional tasks performed include the hierarchy below:
